Who are Exmouth Anglican Community Church?
Our Belief and Purpose Statement:
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. Accordingly we believe that God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit created all things. Each of us has sinned and is in need of a saviour. God sent his Son Jesus to redeem us by his death and resurrection. We can now receive salvation through our repentance and faith in what he has done. In this we become united in his family, the church. His Holy Spirit now lives in us, guiding us as we look forward to Jesus’ return.
Our purpose therefore, is to be a worshipping family of God devoted to making and maturing Disciples of Christ.
What this means
Exmouth Anglican Community Church is a body of believers who seek to love God and love each other. We are committed to the bible as God's ultimate source of authority in all things. We believe that Jesus is God's Son through whom the whole universe was created. We believe that God is both just and merciful. He is just in that he will not let our autonomy from him go on unpunished. The consequence of sin is eternal separation from God through death. Yet he is merciful as he sent Jesus to take the consequence for the sin of the whole world on the cross - thus dying the death we deserve. Jesus then conquered death and rose from the grave, guaranteeing our own resurrection on the last day. By acknowledging Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, and repenting of our sin we are assured of our own salvation on the last day.
As the body of Christ we seek to learn from God's word, the bible and apply it to our lives each day. We also desire to serve one another by encouragement, teaching and even correcting where necessary. We seek to reach out to our community with the saving words of the gospel in the hope that the Holy Spirit will work in their lives to convict them of the truth about Jesus.
We warmly welcome everyone to attend our Sunday 9am church service – even if you have not set foot in a church for decades (or even ever). Likewise if you are visiting Exmouth we would love you to join us in fellowship. We have many visitors each year and find it a great encouragement when Christians of all denominations come together to glorify God. We hope that we can be an encouragement to you too.

Small Groups
Small Groups are an integral part of our goal to make and mature disciples of Christ. Jesus often left the larger gathering to teach his 12 selected disciples on the deeper meaning and application of his teachings. So too, we value meeting in small groups to teach and encourage one another from the bible & through prayer. It is our hope that every member of our church is enfolded into a small group so that we can grow in our knowledge and love of God, and apply this to our lives in meaningful ways.
